In this online class, we'll work on true stories as a tool for communication, connection, sales, or slams; and we'll cover narrative basics, crafting for performance and/or public speaking, and tried and true "live lit" techniques.
Storytelling success hinges on finding your "voice" and capturing your uniqueness. We'll spend time not only discussing and practicing nonfiction storytelling techniques, we'll access personal insights and inspiration using fun exercises and writing prompts.
All storytellers will receive helpful resource material and they’ll be able to receive feedback on their work each week.
This class is led by Story Jam creative director Stephanie Rogers, who holds degrees in theatre and writing and who has been producing popular storytelling shows since 2014.
